Code of conduct and the fight against harassment

Agile Trends is an event aimed at raising the administrative and technical level of the software industry and forming collaborative networks between professionals and the technology community.  Agile Trends is a conference that was born in 2013 in the city of São Paulo with the proposal of bringing high technical content to professionals who practice agility.

This Code of Conduct is valid for all events promoted by Agile Trends and for anyone involved in the event.  The aim is to protect the public from harm and moral hazards

Agile Trends is dedicated to promoting a respectful and harassment-free community for all.  We do not tolerate any form of harassment, intimidation or embarrassment by any participant in the event, be it audience, speaker, contributor or any member of the community.

Exhibitors, sponsors, vendors and partners in general are also subject to the anti-harassment policy.  In particular, they must not use images, activities or materials with sexual, homophobic, pejorative and / or discriminatory content of any kind.

Harassment means, without limitation, offensive, verbal or electronic comments related to personal characteristics or choices, racial origin, gender, as well as sexual, racist, homophobic or discriminatory comments or images of any nature in public or digital spaces, deliberate intimidation, intimidation, harassment, tracking, embarrassing photos or recordings, repeated interruptions to conferences, chats, physical meetings or other events, inappropriate physical contact, or unwanted sexual attention.

Participants are expected to promptly comply with requests to discontinue any harassing or bullying behavior.  Be nice to others.  Do not insult or offend other participants.  Behave professionally.  Remember that jokes of harassment, sexism, racism or exclusion are not appropriate for Agile Trends.

Any participant who violates these rules may be invited to withdraw from the event, without refund (if applicable), at the sole discretion of the organizers, without prejudice to other applicable legal measures.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, members of the organization can take whatever action they deem appropriate, from alerting the offender to banning their participation in other events promoted by Agile Trends.

If you are harassed, notice that someone is being harassed or has other concerns, take action to intercept or request assistance from event organizers or representatives to bring the matter to the organization’s care.

We are confident that this policy will help make Agile Trends a more welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.
